I was a fan of Nirvana, which means maybe you were, too.

Turns out, when he died, Kurt Cobain had been working on a solo record with Pat Smear and Eric Erlandson.

A never-before-heard, 12-minute tune from Cobain’s demos will be featured on the soundtrack for the documentary about Kurt called “Montage of Heck.”

The doc’s director Brett Morgen revealed the good news.

The premiere of the doc on HBO is set for early May.

No word yet on what the unearthed Cobain song’s name is, but I’m sure it’ll be something catchy.
