Someone (make that someones) did not want Marilyn Manson performing in Moscow yesterday.

A bomb threat was called in, and his scheduled show was nixed.

At the end of this post, you can find a video clip from C-Lebrity that shows footage of “religious fanatics” assaulting members of Manson’s entourage outside the band’s hotel in Moscow.

The show was scrapped over fears it would insult Orthodox believers and promote sadomasochism.

Manson was scheduled to perform at the Park Live festival Friday, but tweeted the show was called off just as he was about to take the stage with his bandmates.

He added in a separate tweet:

“Why are the people that proclaim that music inspires violence, the ones that create such entropy?”

Deep, man.

A planned show tomorrow night in Novosibirsk has also been cancelled after hundreds of religious activists protested against the rocker’s plans to perform in the city, accusing Manson of insulting Russian Orthodox believers.
