This is starting to get frustrating.
Atlanta progressive metal act Mastodon keep on teasing fans with new information about the record…and they’ve been releasing it in tiny bits and pieces. The latest news on the forthcoming album they’ve been working on for months is basically just one song title: “Dry Bone Valley.”
The Hunter, which is the band’s follow-up to Crack The Skye, will also feature the songs “Stargasm,” “Curl of the Burl,” “Blasteroids,” “All The Heavy Lifting,” “The Sparrow,” “The Ruiner,” and “The Octopus Has No Friends.”
Hey Mastodon: Why not just release all the information about the new record at once? Why keep tossing us morsels here and there?
The band recorded the effort at Doppler Studios in Atlanta with producer Mike Elizondo, and it now appears that the band will be releasing it in October. No official release date has been set, but October is the month they’re shooting for, we’re hearing.
