Not that they matter, at all, but the Grammy Awards will be happening once again in 2015, with the illustrious likes of who gives a fuck and what’s her slut performing on stage and being celebrated by the struggling industry.
What you won’t see televised when the Grammys air live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles on February 8 is the award hand out for “Best Metal Performance.”
Because, well, the vast majority has bad taste.
Mastodon and Slipknot are both in the running for songs they’ve composed on their own.
So is Motörhead.
Anthrax are in the running for their cover of Black Sabbath’s “Neon Knights” while Tenacious D are up for their take on Dio’s “The Last In Line.”
Motörhead should win. But I bet they give it to Tenacious D. Dumb fucks.
The nominations for the 57th Grammys were delivered on this day.
Metallica also got a nod, as did Trent Reznor for his collaboration with Atticus Ross.
“Metallica Through The Never” is in the running for “Best Music Film” while Reznor and Ross’ score for “Gone Girl” got a nod in the “Best Score Soundtrack For Visual Media” category.
