I admit I’m a little late with this, but who gives a fuck? This cruise is going to be the shit, and may provide the perfect opportunity to face that sea-sickness issue you have head-on.
The first annual Mayhem Festival Cruise is taking over the Carnival Imagination, and will make its maiden voyage Friday, December 7, 2012 from the Port of Miami, Florida.
The lineup is sicker than we even imagined: Lamb of God, Machine Head, Anthrax, and Suicide Silence (as we already knew) along with Gojira, Hatebreed, Kingdom of Sorrow, Peripery, Born of Osiris, Battlecross, and Girl on Fire.
I saw the last band and was so bummed when I realized it wasn’t High On Fire.
The ship travels to the Bahamas, returning to the mainland on Monday, December 10. Tickets go on sale Thursday, May 3 at 12 p.m. noon EST, with payment plans available. Get them before they’re “lost at sea!”
The cruise will be hosted by happy metal dude Jose Mangin of SiriusXM Liquid Metal. That dude’s always happy.
Also on board will be Slipknot’s Clown, as he curates his own art show on the cruise, as well as hosts to Fangoria’s Video Nasties Film Festival.
There will also be comedians, a neo-burlesque dance troupe (whatever the fuck that is), and daily artist panels.
Korn’s Jonathan Davis will also be DJing at some point. Maybe the whole thing. Around the clock DJ sessions by J Devil. That would be fat.
