Thrash metal supergroup Memorain have signed with Pulverised Records, and the band recently finished working on their fourth record, Evolution. I went to their MySpace page and they had no pictures of the band — no group shots. So I went with a picture of a hot chick instead. Hope you don’t mind.
Memorian was founded in 1999 and features Dark Angel and Strapping Young Lad’s Gene Hoglan on drums, Sadus and Death’s Steve Digiorgio, Obituary’s Ralph Santolla, and Chris Valagao from Zimmers Hole. James Murphy from Death used to be in the band, as was ex-Megadeth kitman Nick Menza.
“I’m really happy with the way things are going! Pulverised Records is the new home of Memorian and I’m sure that with their experience they will do an amazing job with our new album,” explained guitarist Ilias Papadakis.
He claims that on Evolution, “we have succeeded to combine old-school thrash metal, with a modern touch. Fast and aggressive, but at the same time, melodic with powerful. I’m sure that Evolution will satisfy the appetite of the diehard fans of thrash metal! I can’t wait to perform this material live!”
