Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo was asked about whether the band’s fans have come to always trust the group to deliver the goods, both in the studio and on the concert stage.
And he was honest.
“Yes and no,” said Trujillo. “Obviously there were mixed reviews on our Lou Reed experience. Some people thought it was an amazing artistic statement. A lot of Metallica fans thought it was crap.”
Thank the lord below that someone in Metallica is finally accepting Lulu was probably poop. It was poop. No probably about it.
“You take chances and kind of go with the flow of it. We just try to have a good time. That’s the name of the game — be creative — and sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t work,” said Trujillo.
Robert also said that the band’s having a hard time focusing on new material, what with all the projects they’ve involved themselves in.
