Metallica Bassist, Torche Drummer Participate In New Project

Studio sessions divulged by Magic Bullet Records founder

Work continues...Work continues...

Work continues…

It seems that Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo and Torche drummer Rick Smith are participating in a new project — but little is known about it.

Both Trujillo and Smith have been in the studio as of late working on the new music, with a mix for the stuff set for May.

Brent Eyestone, the founder of Magic Bullet Records, is a chief part of the project, it seems.

He broke the news about the new music via the webernets, posting the accompanying picture online.

Eyestone writes:

“My first writing and recording project since moving to the west coast was both surreal and inspiring. Thanks so much to my homies behind the scenes at @tonyhawkfoundation and @metallica for logistical support and enthusiasm, my dudes Ricky, Graham, and Robert for bringing their passions for all music, Chris and Vanessa for technical support and tracking, Blind Melon for the studio, and The Melvins/Big Business for drums. Stay tuned…”

This could be cool. We will see…eventually.
