Metallica Playing Mariano Rivera Event?

Metallica

Yes, it’s possible.

According to a report in the New York Daily News, the imminent retirement of Mariano Rivera will involve Metallica.

The band will play at the best reliever of all time’s retirement ceremony on September 22 at Yankee Stadium, according to the paper.

During baseball games at home, Rivera exits the bullpen to the sounds of Metallica’s “Enter Sandman.”

Metallica will be in town to play the Howard Stern Show and Harlem’s Apollo Theatre on September 21, so it stands to reason they’d show up for Mo’s night to play the track.

If you don’t know who Mariano Rivera is, you likely live outside the U.S. If you hate Mariano, you’re likely not a Yankee fan.
