Metallica To Release Another Live EP

Yeah, that’s right. Metallica have been going crazy lately, releasing live sets and that’s cool, I guess. I’ve just never been a “live record” lover. One time, my old roommate burned Opeth’s Lamentations DVD onto a CD for me, and I listened to that a ton. But otherwise, live records just don’t strike me as anything special unless you were there. Or it is an Opeth live recording, because I wasn’t at that show.

But for the people who did witness the gigs, I see why they’d want a copy of the band’s forthcoming EP: the second in the Six Feet Under series. And yes, as the band points out, the first EP mentioned it was “EP One.” So obviously, there’s a Six Feet Under EP Two.

The effort features several tracks from the band’s recent spate of shows in Australia and New Zealand. The boys played a bunch of record stores, and they let members of their fan club choose what songs made the final cut.

The songs on the disc will be “Blackened,” “Ride the Lightning,” “The Four Horsemen,” “Welcome Home (Sanitarium),” “Master of Puppets,” “…And Justice For All,” “Fade To Black,” and “Damage Inc.” Rad!
