I’m fucking all kinds of bummed out about the fact that I won’t be in Atlantic City this weekend for Metallica’s Orion Music + More fest. Super bummed. I literally live in the same state, but won’t be going.
Why? Because I have to work, folks. Yup. I got shafted. I’ll be missing the whole fest. I really wanted to get down there and catch The Black Dahlia Murder and Charred Walls of the Damned, but alas, I will be stuck working.
Anyways, because Metallica will be taking over Atlantic City and because Atlantic City’s a hop, skip and a jump away from Philadelphia, Dan DeLuca of the Philadelphia Inquirer spoke with Metallica’s James Hetfield.
Dan asked all the usual questions, because…well, when the fuck is he gonna get another chance to talk to James Hetfield.
But he did ask about when the next Metallica record will be out.
“You tell me,” Hetfield responded. I would have told him “Never,” but Dan probably wants to keep his job.
“I don’t know. We’re writing here and there, touring, doing the festival thing. I’m looking forward to making the next record. But I don’t know when,” says James.
To read more about Hetfield’s thoughts on Napster and “Some Kind of Monster,” as if you don’t already know what dude’s gonna say, go here.
