Yes, I know what you’re thinking. Why pay tribute to someone who drove drunk, crashed, died, and left a little girl behind to grow up fatherless?
Well, I don’t know why. I didn’t organize the bloody tribute. But someone did. And that someone has been enlisting a whole heap of bands for this upcoming Suicide Silence show.
Lucker died on Halloween.
The tribute is planned for December 21 at the Fox Theater in Pomona, California.
Asking Alexandria’s Danny Worsnop was just added to the list of guest singers who’ll perform with Mitch’s band, along with After The Burial’s Anthony Notarmaso and ex-Bury Your Dead vocalist Myke Terry.
Others performing at the show — to benefit Mitch’s daughter’s education — include Johnathan “Johnny Plague” Cooke from Winds of Plague and Impending Doom’s Brook Reeves.
Cameron “Big Chocolate” Argon from Disfiguring The Goddess has signed on, as have Phil Bozeman of Whitechapel, that wanker Austin Carlile from Of Mice & Men, and stretchy-lobed Ricky Hoover, the former singer for Suffokate.
Chad Gray of Mudvayne, Tim Lambesis of As I Lay Dying, and All Shall Perish’s Eddie Hermida are also performing with the band in two days.
