That’s right, folks.

Mötley Crüe is not going away mad — they’re just going away.

Today, the band announced it’s final tour and its impending retirement with a nearly four month-long tour that starts in early July.

The announcement was made at a press conference in Los Angeles where the band’s members inked a formal Cessation of Touring Agreement, set to go into effect at the end of 2015.

“When it comes to putting together a new show we always push the envelope and that’s part of Mötley Crüe’s legacy,” explains Nikki Sixx. “As far as letting on to what we’re doing, that would be like finding out what you’re getting for Christmas before you open the presents. We think in an age of too much information, we’d like to keep some surprises close to our chest until we launch The Final Tour.”

Something big is going to happen, I am sure. Like, Mick Mars might turn into a bat and fly away right there on stage in front of everyone, confirming he is in fact a vampire.
