Well that sucks…if you happen to be a fan of the Murderdolls, the side project of Slipknot drummer Joey Jordison. Seems the “Violent Night, Deadly Night” tour is off because of an “unforeseeable family emergency.”
In a statement, the band said it was bummed to have to pull the plug on its tour, but — essentially — shit happens. The Gauntlet broke the news this evening.
“These decisions are never easy to make and we did everything we could to keep from having to cancel, but this was unavoidable,” the band’s statement reads. “We’ll do our best to make up the dates in 2011. For those who bought tickets, refunds are available from point of purchase. Sorry, ghoulscouts, but we’ll see you all soon!”
Not me. I’m no ghoulscout. I like good music. Like Willie Nelson. I kid, I kid. The Murderdolls are OK…they serve a purpose, I’ve been told. Wonder what the family emergency was all about. Could that be code for lousy ticket sales? Either way, I hope the guys get through whatever it is OK.
