An album’s worth of material has been written by Mutoid Man, the band featuring Cave In’s Stephen Brodsky and Converge’s Ben Koller.
The group, as such, will now be hitting a recording studio next month to begin tracking those tunes for their debut album, which will be issued by Sargent House Records.
The sessions in January are to take place at GodCity in Salem, Massachusetts, with Kurt Ballou (also in Converge) engineering.
Brodsky offered up the following on the songs:
“These tracks are still riding the high of Helium Head; there are even a few unfinished pieces from that period we might revisit on this record. Writing with Nick [Cageao, bassist] is spinning our brains in new directions, too.”
The band will also be playing the following shows leading up to their studio sessions:
12/9: Hamden, CT @ The Ballroom At the Outer Space (w/ Russian Circles)
12/10: Cambridge, MA @ The Sinclair (w/ Russian Circles)
12/11: Brooklyn, NY @ Music Hall of Williamsburg (w/ Russian Circles)
12/12: Philadelphia, PA @ Underground Arts (w/ Russian Circles)
12/13: Chapel Hill, NC @ Local 506 (w/ Bedowyn & Dogs Eyes)
12/14: Washington, DC @ Rock and Roll Hotel (w/ Russian Circles)
