Holy fucking hell!
Next year’s installment of the annual Roadburn Festival in Tilburg, The Netherlands, will be another not-to-be-missed event. Unfortunately, I’m going to have to miss it, because, well, I don’t have the spare scratch to just throw away on airfare.
Anyways, the reason why Roadburn will rule harder than a three-day-old dog turd is Nachtmystium have confirmed they will perform their 2006 album Instinct: Decay in its entirety during the Voivod-curated April 13 date of the festival.
“Nachtmystium is extremely honored to be a part of Roadburn again,” says Nachtmystium‘s Blake Judd. “The fact that we were picked by one our idols and perhaps the most forward thinking metal bands of all time, Voivod, makes it even more that extraordinary.”
I couldn’t have said it better myself. Truly. Right now, my brain feels like a balloon, tied to a rainbow-shitting koala bear.
“We decided to do something hopefully just as equally special for everyone there,” Judd adds. “We’ll be playing our album, Instinct: Decay, from start to finish. We hope you enjoy it.”
Fuck, how could they not enjoy it? I would totally fucking enjoy seeing Nachtmystium perform the album that made me fall in love with them.
If the organizers of the fest wanna fly my over in one of the other bands’ guitar cabs, I’m game.
