The eventual release of now-defunct band Nachtmystium’s swan song offering The World We Left Behind is being delayed, for some reason.
Am I going to have to be the one to say it? I guess so. Yo, Blake…we could live without it.
Seriously. You’ve broken up the band. What point is there in releasing this new album, other than it’s finished? Seriously. Am I alone here? Anyone else feeling like this?
I don’t know, man. I can honestly say I’m not really excited to hear this last disc. I was uber-fucking-excited to hear Silencing Machine and was kind of let down.
According to a posting online, the final album “will serve as the band’s epitaph and last rites at the end of a 14-year voyage of chaos, ascension from obscurity to places the band never expected to go, amazing highs and crippling lows…all by the books a very true story of a real rock and roll band.”
If you say so, dude.
The post adds the record will either be released in late spring or this summer.
“This will be the only news from the managing parties dealing with the band’s post-dissolution business until a confirmed release date is ready to be announced,” the post offers.
