Holy Satan on a sandwich maker!
Italian black thrash metal vets Necrodeath have a new disc on the way, called Idiosyncrasy, and it will be out in October through Scarlet Records.
A press release claims this new album’s “arguably the band’s most challenging so far, both musically and lyrically, consisting in one single, 40-minute-long track which sums Necrodeath’s musical approach without necessarily trying to sound ‘progressive.’”
Drummer Peso wrote most of the songs on the disc with guitarist Pier Gonella. Singer Flegias and Peso are co-authored the lyrical concept, “inspired by the eternal conflict between good and evil and the struggle towards reaching the interior peace against all odds.”
Idiosyncrasy was recorded at Outer Sound Studios in Rome, Italy, and Music Art Studios in Rapallo, Italy, and was mixed by Giuseppe Orlando.
Believe it or not, the artwork was inspired by Quentin Tarantino’s “Reservoir Dogs.” Weird, right? I mean, hasn’t that horse been beaten to fucking death yet? And brought to water, and forced to take another beating whilst drowning? I mean, that movie is great, but why not have, say, Jackie Brown inspire your album art.
That would be a little more original.
