The Satanist is coming, people.
Are you ready? I sure hope you are. New Behemoth is nothing to fucking sneeze at.
Behemoth’s tenth LP drops this fall through Nuclear Blast in Europe and Metal Blade in North America.
The CD is still being recorded at Hertz studio in Bialystok, Poland, with the help of the Wieslawscy brothers and Daniel Bergstrand.
Song titles set to appear on the effort include “Blow Your Trumpet, Gabriel” — described by frontman Adam “Nergal” Darski as “killer” and “a monster” — as well as “Messe Noir” (French for “The Black Mass”); and “Ora Pro Nobis, Lucifer” (Latin for “Pray For Us, Lucifer”).
In a new interview, Nergal called the new material “very atmospheric” and “very emotional.”
“Think Burzum meets New Order meets Killing Joke,” he added. I can’t even imagine what that must sound like.
