New Ad Campaign Suggests Folks Listen To Swedish Metal

Volvo wants to sell you a car

That’s right, people.

The mainstream media’s finally caught on. Metal is in!

Not really. Volvo’s new outdoor ad campaign is probably more of a joke than anything else.

“Tired of German techno? Try some Swedish metal,” the billboards suggest.

The campaign has attracted a great deal of attention via social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter, where one person called it “the best car ad in history.”

That person was a halfwit. Likely with a mullet.

“We have noticed [all the attention the ad has attracted] even here in Sweden and it’s pretty funny,” says Volvo’s press officer Bo Larsen.

It’s weird, and I don’t like it, but I am helpless to rectify such carelessness.
