So, from time to time, there’s just not enough time to get up news about every single thing that goes down in a day, so I’ve started this new wrap-up column that — if need be — will appear from time to time when there’s lots of little, yet awesome bits of news to report, and I haven’t the time to somehow come up with a creative way of stretching a news item into a full-on post. Not like you’d complain. It’s no skin off your nips.
First off, Opeth have a live DVD coming out soon, and they’ve posted a free MP3 download of “Dirge For November” from that very performance. In Live Concert at The Royal Albert Hall will be available September 21 and this live track download will only be valid for a limited time. So hurry up, slowpoke.
Meanwhile, Cephalic Carnage are streaming their new LP, Misled by Certainty, in its entirety over at their MySpace page. The awesome new album from the kings of hydro grind drops next Tuesday, August 31. But you can hear it for free before you buy it. Why wouldn’t you check it out?
Knights of the Abyss have called off their planned headlining tour, which was supposed to launch today. Why? “Unforeseen circumstances.” What the fuck does that shit mean? The band will however hit the blacktop starting September 29 with Cattle Decapitation, as part of the “California Blood Tour.”
And lastly, Daath have finished tracking their next album and they’ve issued a video update.
