That is the best quote ever. An uphill deal? You couldn’t say uphill battle, you jabroni. The Dalles Chronicle recently conducted an interview with Mark Huff, who has been named Quiet Riot’s new singer; he replaces Kevin Dubrow, who died in 2007 from liking cocaine way too much.
Not sure how the Dalles Chronicle got this huge exclusive, but they did, and Huff — a lifelong metal fan — sounds like a Mensa candidate, for sure.
“The first thing that strikes me, is that I know it’s going to be an uphill deal with the fans,” Huff explained. “I knew this was going to be an emotional thing on a lot of levels. Music is an emotional thing anyway. I’ve dreamt of an opportunity like this since I was a teen in The Dalles.”
Oh, so that’s how. He says he’s a voice impressionist and that’s how he got the job. “Now I’m going to get a chance to put my stamp on things. I’m excited about that.”
Things? Get a fucking thesaurus, dude.
