And what lyrics they are!
If you were wondering what Dallas Toler-Wade’s side project would sound like, wonder no more.
The Nile guitarist and vocalist has released a lyric video from his band Narcotic Wasteland, who have a new album coming very soon.
As in two days.
“Our debut self-titled album will be released digitally this Wednesday January 15,” says Dallas.
“The download can be found on our website but is also available on: iTunes, Amazon, Google Play, and Spotify. Physical copies of the CD will also be available the following week on our website and we will also be launching a music video for one of the tracks. Be sure to check back on our sites for more updates.”

“The song topics vary a bit,” Dallas adds, “but the whole of the album is about hard drug abuse. Anything from prescription drugs, hard street drugs, to alcohol abuse and how they are affecting us as a society. I got the name for the band after completing the first song I wrote for the project, which is called ‘Widespread Narcotic Wasteland.’ The song talks about some of what I have observed and some of the things that have happened to me just living my life in a normal neighborhood while watching it crumble around me because of the ever growing criminal activity in the area. This gave me a lot of new ideas for more songs, so I just kept my head down and worked on this record whenever I had the time.”
