No Nevermore Means No More Reason To Go To Symphony X Tour

That’s right, people. Nevermore have dropped off of the Symphony X tour, meaning a lot of fucking people will be seeking refunds at original points of purchase. The Seattle metal group’s label revealed the bands decision to cancel their North American dates in a press release.

“It is with great regret that we notify Nevermore fans that the band has withdrawn from their upcoming North American tour,” the release says. “The tour will continue as planned with Symphony X, Powerglove and Blackguard. An official statement from the band will be issued soon.”

I wonder if this has anything to do with bassist Jim Sheppard and his condition; Jim underwent surgery in February to remove a benign brain tumor.

This sucks. If I had tickets for this tour, I’d be pissed. Nevermore were easily the best band on the bill. Now, Blackguard might be. And I don’t even feel right saying that. Man. What a fucking bummer.
