Say what? That’s the best news I’ve heard in a stretch. Obscura guitarist Christian Muenzner has a solo record releasing soon, and that is the cover art for it, right there.
The instrumental outing — called Timewarp will feature Obscura drummer Hannes Grossmann and Mercury Falling’s Daniel Galmarini on keyboards. On bass, he split the album up, calling on Death’s Steve DiGiorgio for half the tunes and Defeated Sanity’s Jacob Schmidt for the other half.
While no definitive release dates has been announced, the record is due to drop by the end of April, it also features Ryan Knight from The Black Dahlia Muder and Scar Symmetry’s Per Nilsson.
Timewarp contains a dozen tracks, including “The Tell-Tale Heart,” “Over The Mountains,” “Dawn Of The Shred,” “The Gunslinger,” and “Endless Caravan.” Nice.
And if you still haven’t listened to Obscura’s Omnivium, do yourself a favor and correct this horrid mistake. You’re going to love this band…if you like more progressive metal.
