Today’s not a good day for Overkill fans.
Bad news came in the form of a double whammy this afternoon.
Not only will the next Overkill album’s release be delayed by four fucking months (wonder what’s up with that shit?), but the shows the band had planned for this spring (sans those in the U.K.) will now need to be rescheduled.
They won’t be happening now until the fall.
Sounds like the band’s gotta go back into the studio. I mean, why else would they put off playing a bunch of shows overseas? They’ve gotta be here to re-record shit.
I hope whatever caused this delay eventually comes to light. I hate not knowing why things happen.
“Release date for the new record moved to July,” the band writes online today. “As a result the shows scheduled for March (except U.K.) have moved to the fall. We are still working on the new record but this is gonna be worth the wait, with more old school face-melting thrash!”
I bet it is worth the wait. I just want to know what caused the wait. Let’s hear it, Overkill. Inquiring minds want to know that shit.
