An illness is to blame for this unfortunate news.
At least that’s what the band says.
New Jersey thrash metal vets Overkill are off Testament’s “The Dark Roots of Thrash” tour, because Bobby “Blitz” Ellsworth is feeling under the weather.
“Due to an illness in the band, Overkill has canceled the remainder of its shows on ‘The Dark Roots Of Thrash’ tour in February,” offers the band in a statement.
“After some time for recovery, we’ll be back out in the spring for our Scandinavian tour. See you then!!”
That’s if you live in Scandinavia. Anyone with tickets to this tour, who wanted to see Overkill, will just be shit out of luck.
We hope Bobby feels better soon but feel bad for those who will not get a chance to see Overkill.
Blitz was diagnosed the other day with walking pneumonia’ and was advised by doctors against performing, saying it could worsen if he pushed himself.
