It was inevitable.
Ozzy Osbourne is the dude, and while there have been numerous tributes to Black Sabbath in the past, I can’t recall there ever being a tribute to just Ozzy.
Thank some higher power for Versailles Records, which has seen fit to pay homage to Ozzy with a tribute disc. Pay homage and collect a check.
The album will be out in the spring of 2012 and carry the title No More Tears: A Millennium Tribute To Ozzy Osbourne.
Who will be on it? A whole bevy of Featuring a collection of hits and fan favorites covering old dudes.
Motley Crue will participate, as will Kiss, Slaughter, Night Ranger, Badlands, Alice Cooper, The Cult, Warrant (without Jani Lane…obviously), Spinal Tap, Dokken, Santana, and David Lee Roth.
No fucking thanks. That sounds awful. I’d rather just listen to Ozzy, and really, I never reach that point of desperation.
No word yet on a track list.
