You’d think that, if you’d landed an interview with someone like Jimmy Page, you’d do some fucking work and come up with ACTUAL fucking questions for the man about his legacy. Not questions everyone has asked him a billion times before, and you already knew the answer to.
Like, say, “Will Led Zeppelin play more shows, Jimmy?”
Because, fuck…we all know that won’t happen until Robert Plant gives the go-ahead. This has been well-established. Just like Vinnie Paul’s stance on Pantera getting back together with Zakk Wylde on guitar.
This French site recently conducted an interview with Page, and guess what? They asked him about the band’s “future,” and, well, this happened.
“You can’t really do it without [singer] Robert [Plant],” says Page, sounding like a broken fucking record at this point.”
“So you can’t really do it. The key to this is that [was] 2007, it’s now 2014. I mean, if he wanted to do it, with his other bandmates — I mean, singing Led Zeppelin with his other bandmates — then he could do it. But he doesn’t choose to, so I can’t speak for him.”
Let’s stop asking Jimmy Page — the only dude from Led Zep doing interviews consistently — about the Zeppelin reunion, shan’t we?
