According to the Otago Daily Times, police investigating the murder of death metal singer Matthew Hall believe his friends and associates may be holding back information that could prove crucial in identifying his killer.
Despite a confession from a man who was later found dead, they are still confident someone will be charged for his murder after he was found stabbed to death three months ago. Police have not revealed the names of an additional suspects.
They are still looking for the murder weapon, believed to be a large hunting knife.
Hall, 35, who was a mental health worker and a long-serving member of death metal band Backyard Burial, was found dead in his bed from stab wounds after a ferocious attack in his home in Johnsonville on February 15.
Cops said it was one of the most gruesome murder scenes they’d ever seen.
