PsycropticBummer. But in a way, not so much a bummer. Luckily, Jason Peppiatt’s reason for not joining the band on this U.S. run with Nile, Ex Deo, Keep of Kalessin, and Pathology is, the dude’s having a baby boy any minute now.
“A month or so after we confirmed the U.S. tour, I was greeted with the excellent news that I would be a new father, halfway through the tour no less,” Peppiatt said in a statement. Congrats, by the way. “Since I could not miss the birth, and I couldn’t exactly drive from the U.S. to Tasmania, I talked it through with the rest of the guys and decided to ask Zdenek [Simecek of Godless Truth] in to fill for the last tour of the Ob(servant) album for me.”
While Peppiatt stays home, he will be working on material for the technical death metal outfit’s next record, he says.
Of course, you still need to go see the band with Nile next month. It’s going to be a sick show. I’ll be at the Crazy Donkey show, so if you want to come punch me in the nose for talking shit about your favorite band, please don’t. You wouldn’t hit a guy with fake eyeglasses, would ya?
