Who here likes documentaries about heavy music?
Some really good ones have come out recently, especially that NOLA series Noisey put out. My favorite one, though, for the last few months has been one called “Such Hawks Such Hounds.”
It’s got Earthless, Sleep, Pentagram, St. Vitus, and Kyuss interviews, among many others, so it’s a totally rad watch. It also has a crapload of live-footage, which is a major plus.
Well, maybe “Such Hawks Such Hounds” will be knocked down a peg next month.
Remember that doc about the Puerto Rican metal scene we warned you about earlier this year? “The Distorted Island?” It got a release date, according to their Facebook page.
Luckily, yo hablo espanol un poco and can tell you that the film will be shown for the first time for free to 300 lucky folks.
Get in contact with the organizers to get your free ticket to see the flick at the Museo de Arte de Puerto Rico in the lovely town of Santurce on December 18.
Hopefully, the documentary will be made available to the public online very, very, very shortly after the initial showing. Because I really want to see it. A lot.
Here’s the super trailer. Get pumped.
