Ratt Reportedly Go On An Indefinite Hiatus

Nooooooooo!!! Not Ratt! Not again! According to Metal Sludge, Ratt are on the outs again, and it seems bassist Robbie Crane is no longer in the band.

The site contacted Crane to see what’s what and this is what the man had to say: “As far as I’m concerned there is no Ratt to be ‘fired’ from, as Ratt is on an indefinite hiatus as we’ve finished the Infestation tour in Japan last week.” I wonder if Roadrunner will be issuing a statement on the matter today, seeing as that’s Ratt’s record label. Yeah, I still can’t believe that either.

Crane claims guitarist Warren DeMartini will be hitting the road wih Twisted Sister’s Dee Snider and their Christmas band while frontman Stephen Pearcy “has four to six months of solo dates. Carlos [Cavazo] is working with Rudy and Vinny on an awesome new project, and I’m touring with Lynch Mob over the next couple of months.”

The same report claims that drummer Bobby Blotzer had a recent physical altercation with a drum tech they hired for their Japanese tour. “No violence. Just fired a tech who was extremely UNqualified and I told [him to] the get off the stage. As far a[s] the other stuff. Crane is not in a position to speak for any band he plays in as far a[s] I know.”
