Ray’s Rant: Work Hard, Play Hard

Ray’s Rant

Ray Mazzola has checked in with Gun Shy Assassin, fresh from Full Blown Chaos’ Japanese tour. The band’s self-titled, punishing new album hit stores this week, and Ray reflects on this development. The new album is pretty devastating and Ray sounds like a demonic force on it. Go buy the record.

So, I’m sitting at Gate 14 in Terminal 3 at JFK, waiting for my flight to Dallas to start boarding. I’m getting some weird looks, being I have a Jack and Coke in my hand that I grabbed from Chili’s walking through the airport.

The past two weeks have been so amazing that I can’t wait to let loose about my adventures to, from and in Japan. It was something that I thought I would never experience. I am so grateful to have had such an opportunity presented to me in my life. To be able to perform overseas is always a pleasure.

Our new album was released Tuesday on Ironclad Recordings/Metal Blade Records and we have been getting so much positive feedback on it! I would like to express my gratitude and thanks to everyone that supports Full Blown Chaos — everyone that bought the new album and that plans on picking it up. I wasn’t lying to you when I said it will crush your skulls! This album is our best by far, in my opinion. It was such an honor working with Nick Bellmore recording the album. His skill is above and beyond amazing.

Everything right down to the heart and soul, the pain and struggle, the triumph and perseverance of what we went through during and writing this album was a journey that I am proud of and will not forget…ever. We hope you can feel what we put into our music. I hope you will take from it — and incorporate — the messages and turn them into something you can use to fuel and power yourselves to destroy whatever obstacles you face everyday.

Full Blown Chaos is more than a band. It is a state of mind. Work hard. Play hard. Crush the opposition. Boarding now…More to come later! Support FBC! Buy the new album!
