If you don’t dig progressive rock, move along.

There’s nothing for you to see here.

I, myself, am a huge fan of progressive rock and metal — everything from Yes to Opeth to the Mars Volta — so Persona Grata are pretty much right up my alley. In my bailiwick.

We received an email not that long ago from the Slovakian band, asking — in broken English — for some coverage.

My “cooperation,” said the email, was being sought, more or less.

The band’s member, who wrote the email which only slightly extolled the site’s virtues, included links to their music.

You can hear what the band sounds like at the end of this post.

At times, I feel like this band sounds like a cross between System of a Down’s lighter stuff (likely, because of the vocals) and Porcupine Tree’s heavier stuff.

But that judgement’s literally based on a cursory listen of some of Persona Grata’s tunes.

Great band name, by the way.

Check the band out below, and let us know what you think. Are they decent, or did they deserve verbal decimation?
