There’s a band from Portland, Oregon, called Boneworm, and to be honest, I can’t tell if they’re good or not.
I mean, fundamentally, they’re great. Doomy, sludgy, and syrupy. Thick as molasses.
Yet, listening to their songs — which you can also do, at the end of this post — I find myself wanting more. But what that more is, I don’t know.
Tim from the band wrote us, to thank us “for all your work running a kick ass metal blog — I love it!”
Glad to hear.
Tim’s letter adds that he’d love us to review Boneworm’s latest studio effort, which “we recorded with the prolific Adam Pike of Toadhouse Studios.”
The self-titled release is available gratis here.
“We want to share our music with people that enjoy this type of thing,” writes Tim. “I ask for you to review our album on Gun Shy Assassin. It really is awesome that you take the time to listen to spread the metal news!”
Well, Tim — while this isn’t a review as such, it’s still exposure for you and your band.
Let us know what you think of Boneworm — are they awesome or awful?
