If you dig the sound of early metal, especially bands like Black Sabbath and Pentagram, and dig modern bands like Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats or Electric Wizard, chances are you’ll dig Doctor Smoke.

One of the Ohio band’s members wrote us not that long ago, praising the site and “passing along our free demo with hopes that maybe you could give it a listen, review, or shout out. Hope you dig it, and thanks for your time!”

Well, to be frank, we do. And I mean the royal we, of course.

This is music to sit back and smoke dope to. The kind of music you can drive to. It’s hard rockin’ metal, folks, and you should give it a chance. For reals.

Doctor Smoke’s a quartet that draws it’s influence from the classic, guitar driven sounds of early heavy metal while throwing their own modernized spin on the genre.

That much is super clear.
