When we started this column two months ago or something like that, we never imagined people would respond the way they have. And we didn’t realize so many of our readers were in rad bands in their own right.
This week, we feature HateFX, a band from Fresno that has toured with the likes of Static X, Exodus, In this Moment, Five Finger Death Punch, Drowning Pool, Helmet, Kittie, Prong, Bury Your Dead, Dragonlord, Unwritten Law, Otep, Ankla, LD50, In Vitro, and Adema.
At the end of this post, you can hear a HateFX track, and if I’m going to be honest here, it’s just not my thing. First, the vocals completely ruin it for me. I have never heard vocals like that, but the music’s on point.
An email we received from the band not that long ago claims HateFX “follow GSA daily” and “would appreciate if you could share” news of their forthcoming album with the rest of our readers.
Well, here it is: HateFX recently entered the studio to begin recording their third CD.
A press release claims the follow-up to 2009’s The Holy Frail will contain “a diverse range of material” and will feature “some interesting musical guests that will be announced at a later time.”
What do you folks think of HateFX? Should I be glad they’re readers, or utterly ashamed?
