Readers’ Bands: Let’s Sow A Sorrowseed

Sorrowseed

By all appearances, Sorrowseed should be one of the greatest bands ever. They definitely look the part, and have a logo to match.

Yet, this particular Readers’ Band left me wanting something…possibly a new singer.

One of the lads from the band contacted Gun Shy Assassin for inclusion in our column, promoting the bands of our readers.

“We describe our sound as melodic extreme metal, namely a mixture of gothic metal, doom metal, and black metal,” says the email. “The new album we’re recording right now is going to be a lot heavier and more on the extreme side than the music on our Facebook and ReverbNation pages, but what’s there right now is still rather good.”

Sorrowseed’s influences include Opeth, Amorphis, Theatre of Tragedy, Arch Enemy, Dimmu Borgir, Cradle of Filth, Gwar, Emperor, Type O Negative, and Suffocation.

Sorry, but I am not hearing that.

The music sounds like it could be awesome, but I am too distracted by those vocals to hear whether it’s actually any good.

But, here’s some exposure anyways.
