Relapse Records claims Revocation have begun recording their as-yet untitled new album at Damage Studios in Southbridge, Massachusetts, with engineer Pete Rutcho. The album should surface sometime this summer, as the band’s Dave Davidson told us recently.
In a press release, Davidson said that Revocation is “currently wrapping up the recording process for our third studio album and we firmly believe that this is our strongest material to date. The songs on the new release are incredibly varied and all have their own character. They range from technical thrash to groove laden death metal, there’s even a song with a full horn section this time around. We can’t wait for people to check it out!”
In addition, after the jump, you can stream Revocation’s cover of Death’s “Pull The Plug,” which you can get in the next issue of Decibel Magazine. And don’t forget that Revocation are playing the Rock Your Face Off Fest on March 5.
