When it comes to Howard Stern show staffers, Richard Christy’s my favorite. But really, that has more to do with his metal accomplishments than his prank phone calls; of course, the dude worked with Death and Iced Earth and has his own band now called Charred Walls of the Damned, which also features my buddy Jason Suecof.
According to Richard, Charred Walls entered Criteria Recording Studios in Miami, Florida, back in December with producer Mark Lewis to start recording its sophomore album for Metal Blade Records. The album should drop before the end of the year.
“The second Charred Walls of the Damned album is coming along amazingly,” says Richard. “Drums and guitars are done, and we’re currently getting ready to record the bass and vocals. This album is going to be incredible; I’m so proud of it. I can’t wait for all of the fans to hear it.”
Richard says the band is looking to release the album this fall, and assures fans that “if you liked the first album, you’re definitely going to love this album! It’s going to be super-melodic, have plenty of blast beats, plenty of super-catchy vocal parts, heavy guitars, and insane bass parts!”
