The original lineup of Texan thrash metal act Rigor Mortis has entered a recording studio to begin tracking their next record.
That means guitarist Mike Scaccia, bassist Casey Orr, drummer Harden Harrison, and frontman Bruce Corbitt are now laying down cuts for their first new album since 1991’s Rigor Mortis Vs. The Earth.
The band is recording at 13th Planet Studios in El Paso, Texas, where Ministry and Buck Satan record.
Production duties are being handled by Sammy D’Ambruoso and Ministry’s Al Jourgensen.
“Expect a brutally fast, sick and twisted record. We’re not fucking around,” says Orr.
Scaccia and Orr recently contributed songs to the upcoming Ministry’s Relapse record, and are gearing up for the “Defibrillatour”” this summer.
Corbitt has been busy touring with his band, Warbeast, who most recently supported Gwar.
