A series of Twitter posts makes me think that yes, they’ll close up shop tomorrow.
That fucking blows tremendously. But this is what happens when you sell yourself to a major label…cuts come, and they came with a fury.
As we reported, Warner Music Group made recent cuts at the Roadrunner Records label, and now have officially dismantled the label’s offices in the United Kingdom.
It’s sad, really. It is never the people who should get fired, am I right?
Several Tweets claimed back in April that 10 people at the U.K. branch alone were “made redundant,” as they say in England.
The Canadian offices were also dissolved.
If you still have a job, be glad. If you ever loved a Roadrunner Records release, be sad.
