I don’t know, man. I often think of “tours” as running for months and months, and hitting every big city across the country. So I’ve always found it weird when tours don’t book New York City dates, especially big rock tours like Rob Zombie and Alice Cooper’s Halloween Hootenanny.”
But the Zombie/ Cooper tour — with openers Murderdolls, featuring Slipknot drummer Joey Jordison — isn’t coming to NYC. But its going to hit Mohegan Sun in Connecticut. Score! And the tour’s only making 13 stops — which, I’m sure, was not coincidental.
The tour kicks off in Los Angeles at the Gibson Amphitheatre on September 30 and hits Salt Lake City, Kansas City, Tucson, Binghamton, and Bloomington. It also goes to Nashville, San Diego, and a couple of other cities you’ve heard of.
In other Zombie news, Rob has teamed with Universal Studios Hollywood to create the new 3D maze, “Rob Zombie’s House Of 1000 Corpses: In 3D ZombieVision.” A press release says that, “As part of the Halloween Horror Nights event, fans will be treated to a nightmarish world of carnage and chaos Rob Zombie-style based upon Zombie’s cult hit film House Of 1000 Corpses.”
