You know it’s sad…but true.
Not a day has passed in the last two years that I haven’t thought about the death of Ronnie James Dio, folks. He was such a talent and such an all-around cool dude.
When Dio died, a little part of every metal head died with him.
I remember not long after it happened, talking to my friend Jen Guyre about the strange new world, without a living, breathing Dio.
We basically both agreed at the end of that sobering conversation that we liked this new Dio-less world a whole lot less.
Dio’s legacy remains. His songs will stand the tests of time, and his memory will always endure.
Time sure does fly fast, doesn’t it?
Two years ago today, Dio died. He was just 67. I fucking miss that dude.
