Rwake are awesome. Trust me — they just are. True-to-form doom metal that, at times, reminds me of the Deftones. I can’t explain it, but I love it.
Well, that there is the new cover art for the new Rwake album, Rest. The follow up to 2007’s Voices Of Omens was recorded at Engine Studios in Chicago, Illinois, with noted engineer Sanford Parker.
Rest will see its North American release on September 27 on CD, digital, as well as pressed on olive green and 180 gram black vinyl. If you want to get some sort of idea as to why Rwake should be your new favorite band, head for the jump.
At the end of this post, I’ve provided a handy little video for you — for a track called “Leviticus.” It’s fucking rad.
Rwake have one tour date confirmed at this time: A show in their hometown of Little Rock, Arkansas, on July 39 at Downtown Music Hall.
