Salome Finish Recording Terminal

This weekend, I didn’t really post at all because I was in Atlantic City for my buddy Jay’s bachelor party. I just got back and I am fucking bushed. Unfortunately, I’m not a gambler and all the dudes I was there with were, which means we didn’t really go outside much. Atlantic City is weird. I saw a lot of old people making out. That was hard to see. And every woman that hit on me was a hooker. Rad.

When I got back, and finally had web access again, I discovered that Salome — the female-fronted sludge doom metallers — have finished work on their next LP, which they’ve titled Terminal. I’m super psyched to hear this thing. Salome rule. The record will be — according to a statement — “an intense 70-plus-minute sonic jaunt of punishing sludge doom metal reverence.”

The disc drops November 9 through Profound Lore Records and boasts 7 tracks, including “Master Failure,” “An Accident of History,” and “Epidemic.”

Salome are one of the best bands to come out of Virginia since ever. Live, they’re intimidating. Not saying you need to see them live, but you should definitely check them out if you like doomy, gloomy metal.
