Satyricon have been forced, regretably, to drop off of the bills for both the Knotfest and the Housecore Horror Film Festival in Austin.
A statement reads:
“The reasons for not being able to perform at these two festivals are both pragmatic ones and entirely different from each other. Satyricon will now shift its attention towards the writing of a new album, re-editing the footage from the ‘Live at the Opera’ live album/DVD and another project that will be announced at a later stage. It is important for the band that the U.S fans understand that you are far from forgotten and that the band look forward to come over for a full scale U.S tour as soon as it is possible. You deserve it.”
To replace them at the Horror Fest, the organizers have tapped Napalm Death and Origin.
Going out on a limb and saying I’d rather have those two bands over one Satyricon any old day.
Love that explanation from the band, too. Just vague as fuck. Whatever.
I love Napalm Death. They’re awesome. And they look like a band I could be in. An every man’s band.
