Scar The Martyr To Tour

J.J. (actual size)

Scar The Martyr have been a band for less time than you’ve had pubes, and yet, they’re headlining shows later this month and beyond.

You know why, right? Because the band’s leader is one Joey Jordison of Slipknot. Dates for their tour follow at the end of this very post, don’t you know.

I once interviewed Joey, way back as a music editor at a paper in Connecticut, and asked him if the masks were a gimmick they needed because their band is awful or if it was instead that they were all hideously ugly, and had to hide from society.

Ten minutes later, he finished screaming at me. Every other word was literally “fuck” or “fucking.”

If only I could find that tape.

So, Scar The Martyr also boasts Jed Simon from Strapping Young Lad and Kris Norris, formerly of Darkest Hour, who was going to do a 3 Bands You Should Know column for us. Whatever happened with that, Kris?

The shows have been booked around the release of the band’s self-titled debut, which hits shelves October 1.

The streets be talking, son.
