There’s a new band in Scott Weiland’s life, and that band is called Art of Anarchy.

The group also features Disturbed’s John Moyer on bass, two brothers named Jon and Vince Votta on guitar and drums, and Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal from Guns N’ Roses playing guitars and serving as the band’s producer.

Art of Anarchy will release its debut album in this spring, it seems.

Not sure how I feel about this.

I’m fairly certain I won’t like whatever it is they end up churning out — that I can say.

Turns out the band began out of an 18-year friendship between Bumblefoot and the Votta brothers, dating back to the local New York music scene.

A presser says that Jon Votta approached Bumblefoot with the idea of putting together a unique new rock band that would have people talking. They knew Scott Weiland would be the ideal singer to handle the band’s musical diversity. Once Weiland was on-board, the band was completed by the aggressive, precise, melodic bass of career-rocker John Moyer.
